EDTA Acid is a high-purity white crystalline powder with a decomposition point of 240°C. It is slightly soluble in hot water but dissolves readily in alkaline solutions such as sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, and ammonia. In agriculture, EDTA Acid enhances the availability and uptake of micronutrients, particularly in alkaline or calcareous soils. It improves nutrient efficiency, supports healthy plant growth, and helps correct micronutrient deficiencies.

Beyond agriculture, EDTA Acid is widely used in water treatment to remove scale-forming ions and heavy metals. It also plays a key role in industrial cleaning by dissolving mineral deposits and maintaining equipment, especially in the agricultural and food processing industries.

Enhances Nutrient Availability: Acid EDTA effectively chelate essential micronutrients such as iron, zinc, copper, and manganese. This chelation improves solubility and bioavailability, helping plants overcome nutrient deficiencies and promoting robust growth.

Prevents Nutrient Lock-Up: In alkaline or calcareous soils, micronutrients tend to become insoluble and unavailable. It maintains these nutrients in soluble forms, ensuring plants can readily absorb them.

Improves Fertilizer Efficiency: When added to fertilizers, EDTA Acid stabilizes micronutrients, preventing precipitation and enhancing nutrient uptake efficiency. This reduces fertilizer waste and supports higher crop yields.

In Water Treatment and Industrial Cleaning

Acid EDTA is widely used to chelate calcium, magnesium, and heavy metals in water systems, preventing scale formation and corrosion, thereby improving water quality and extending system longevity. It compounds effectively dissolve mineral scales and metal oxides, facilitating the cleaning of industrial equipment and pipelines, especially in agricultural processing facilities.

Application Recommendations

  • Foliar Spraying:
Dilute at a ratio of 1:1000 to 1:2000. Apply 1–2 kg per acre, spraying 2–3 times during the vegetative growth stages at 14-day intervals for optimal nutrient uptake.

  • Soil Application:
Use 0.5–2 kg per acre. Dissolve 0.5–1 kg of EDTA Acid or Acid EDTA in 200–400 liters of water per acre and apply directly to the soil as needed.
