EDTA 2Na (also known as 2Na EDTA) is a versatile and highly effective chelating agent widely used in agriculture, water treatment, cosmetics, and industrial applications. It provides stable chelation of metal ions such as calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc, preventing their precipitation and enhancing nutrient availability in various environments.

In agriculture, 2Na EDTA plays a key role in improving the efficiency of micronutrient fertilizers by keeping essential elements soluble and plant-available, especially in high pH or saline soils. It helps avoid nutrient lock-up and improves uptake through both soil and foliar applications.

Nutrient Chelation:  EDTA 2Na binds with key micronutrients, keeping them soluble and available for plant uptake. This improves nutrient absorption, enhances crop health, and increases yields.

Prevents Nutrient Lock-Up: In high pH or calcareous soils, micronutrients can become insoluble. 2Na EDTA prevents this by maintaining nutrients in a readily available form for plants.

Enhances Fertilizer Efficiency: When mixed with fertilizers, reduces nutrient loss and improves nutrient delivery, ensuring plants receive what they need for optimal growth.

Corrects Nutrient Deficiencies: Especially effective against conditions like iron chlorosis, helps prevent and correct visible signs of micronutrient deficiencies.

Improves Soil Health: By increasing nutrient bioavailability, 2Na EDTA supports sustainable soil fertility and long-term agricultural productivity.

super potassium application

Foliar Spraying:

  • Dilute EDTA 2Na at a ratio of 1:800 to 1:1200, and apply 1 to 2 kg per acre. Spray 2 to 3 times during the plant’s vegetative stage or periods of micronutrient demand.
  • For optimal results, repeat the application every 14 days, depending on crop needs and local conditions.

Soil Application:

  • Dissolve 0.5 to 1 kg of EDTA 2Na in 200 to 400 liters of water per acre, and apply directly to the soil.
  • The recommended dosage is 0.5 to 2 kg per acre, depending on the crop type, growth stage, and soil nutrient status.
